This is an honest review based on a product I purchased with my own money. Using Balanced Cica makes my skin smooth without any dryness or stinging, giving me glowing skin. It seems to contain absolutely no unnecessary ingredients and only soothing components that are safe for all skin types without side effects, so I consider it a serum that helps a little with breakouts. Pros: - Helps reduce breakouts - Firm and non-greasy - Allows you to check the amount used on the container - Cons: - Does not help with large, cystic acne.
I am on my third tube of this along with the cream. My face is very oily, so I can't use anything sticky or greasy, but even though it doesn't feel super light and fresh after application, it feels moisturized, so I am using it consistently.
After using it for over a month, I can clearly feel my skin troubles and redness have calmed down. It hydrates without being sticky and is not irritating.
I have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry cheeks? Or maybe oily?). I heard the YSTLE cream was good, so I used it and my skin broke out, so I urgently bought this because I used to like it before. I applied toner and this before bed, and not a single bit of oil came up. I did wonder if it was ever so slightly dry, but I think it will be fine if I finish with a moisturizer. But I love that it doesn't get oily... I think I'm going to skip using anything else for a while and just use toner and this. I think it will be good for emergency soothing when your skin breaks out.

The serum applies lightly and moisturizes well, and it absorbs quite quickly. Even when layered multiple times, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky, so it was great to use without any burden in my morning skincare routine. I find myself reaching for it often on days when my skin condition isn't great, as it feels like it replenishes moisture and soothes my skin comfortably. I think it would be especially suitable for those who find oily soothing products burdensome. After use, my skin feels hydrated and smooth, with a clean finish, so I also use it well before applying makeup. The 50ml size is generous, and I am even more satisfied because this set includes a 20ml cream as well. Being able to try both the serum and cream together makes this a great set for those new to the Balanceful line!

It's gentle and non-irritating because it's just water. Honestly, I'm not sure if it moisturizes or if it's effective; I just applied it thinking it's better than nothing. It's one of those average, safe items.
