I haven't tried it on my face yet, but when I applied it to the back of my hand, it was thinner and more moisturizing than I expected. So, while it doesn't dramatically eliminate yellow tones or brighten the skin tone, it gives a subtle and natural brightening effect.
While the tone-up effect is very distinct, you need to be careful if you apply the recommended amount of regular sunscreen. I had been using Isntree sunscreen but bought this because I didn't want to wear full face makeup in the summer. However, I think you need to apply a thin layer of the regular sunscreen I bought at the same time, lighter than usual, and then apply this thin layer on top. It turned out much whiter than I expected. Also, it doesn't really soothe the redness around the nose or chin; since it brightens the skin overall, I felt like localized redness was actually accentuated. Additionally, I do not recommend it for those with extremely dry skin. My skin is quite dry, so I tend to apply a lot of skincare even in the summer, but this product significantly highlights dry areas around the nose and chin, as well as dead skin cells. It seems like a product that tried to be moisturizing, but it is actually drying, and I feel it is closer to being watery and oily than moisturizing.
I bought this because my face has a lot of yellow undertones and I wanted to correct them, but people around me told me my face looks clearer.
It’s a product I’ve been using consistently and really love 🤍 I like it because it’s gentle and non-irritating to the skin.
The product quality is excellent. There is no white cast or caking, and it beautifully evens out the skin tone while lifting it by one shade. As a die-hard Isntree fan, I love the Onion line and the Hyal line, from skincare to sunscreen, but I feel like this tone-up sunscreen is the only one that has a slightly unpleasant smell. Aside from the scent, the quality is the best among tone-up sunscreens from other brands in a similar price range. I am extremely sensitive to eye irritation, but this doesn't sting my eyes at all, and for dry skin, the glow is beautiful.
